It was a special moment for the 16-year-old striker as she came off the bench to replace Kayla McCoy for the final 20 minutes of the cup tie.
Jodi started her football career at Rangers Soccer Academy at just six years-old, before joining the Girls’ Academy and making her way through the ranks.
She is the latest player to make her a first-team appearance following on from Leon King who made his men’s first-team debut in November 2020.
Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations, was delighted to see her feature in Malky Thomson’s side. He said: “Having started her journey within Soccer Academies, the team and I are thrilled to see Jodi’s progression into the Girls’ Academy and now making her first team debut.
“It's fantastic and I am sure it was a special moment for Jodi and her family and hopefully many more to come.
“Soccer Academies have become a vital part of the wider process in identifying young talented players for the Academy through our expansive programmes of term time, holiday courses and roadshows and recently engaged with 4,000 young players across our holiday programmes across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
“This further highlights the one club ethos with everyone pushing to get the very best players on the pathway to the women’s and men’s first team.”
