The two teams meet in the Old Firm derby this Sunday afternoon as the Light Blues look to complete a domestic cup double.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the showpiece fixture the head coach believes his side are ready to respond from missing out on the league title last weekend and bring the trophy to Ibrox for the first time.
He said: “Dealing with the emotion of coming so close and not retaining the title and along with the news of the changes that are going to be happening next year, it took a wee while but we have explained it and we went through that.
“It is a one-off game and I think what we'll need to do is we'll need to have the majority of our players playing well at the one time in order to win that trophy.”
Thomson has credited the Rangers support for their backing of his side and wants the fans to turn out in their numbers once again for what will be his final match in charge of the side.
He added: “The fans were fantastic last weekend and I hope that they will turn out again. They support us and we will give a good account of ourselves and try to bring that trophy home.”
Captain Kathryn Hill says the team don’t need any extra motivation for the clash against their rivals and wants the side to end the season on a high.
She said: “It is a cup final against Celtic so we shouldn't need any extra motivation, but with it being Malky's last game and what he has done for this club and women's football it would definitely be nice to try and go out on a high for him.
“I think every game against Celtic this year has been close, it will be a very tight game and hopefully we can just show our quality and hopefully win the game.”
