The Light Blues maintained their strong run of results at home in Dumbarton with an impressive attacking display, as braces from both Robbie Ure and Arron Lyall bookended Bailey Rice’s strike on the evening.
Speaking to RangersTV after the triumph, Strachan was pleased with the side’s performance: “I thought we played well from start to finish.
"Maybe towards the end of the match, it became more of a basketball game where we didn’t have as much control, we started to force things, but especially in the first half we played really. Overall, we’re happy with our performance.
“There was a whole variety of goals from different players, which is always pleasing to see. We were clinical at times, but I felt it could have been more in the first half. The chances we created, the play leading up to those chances, there could have been a couple more.”
The victory took the Gers’ tally to nine goals in their last two Lowland League outings in Dumbarton, and the young midfielder insists that his side are relishing playing in front of a home support.
He continued: “We all love playing in front of the home crowd. Nine goals in our last two games is really good, but we’re still frustrated at the two goals that we did concede because the first is a set piece and the second is slack. We’re happy with our forward play.
“We’ve had some time off there. We’re back in training and we’ll recover and look ahead to the next game because we have a lot of fixtures coming up.”
