The club’s right-back and captain has been in tremendous form this term, scoring seven goals in his last seven games while helping his team keep nine clean sheets from their 12 competitive games so far.
In September, Tavernier featured in all five games during this period, finding the net five times, so it’s not surprising that he is in a good place as he gets ready to face Ross County at Ibrox this weekend.
he sat down to answer questions from the Scottish media, and said: "I'm really enjoying my football at the minute and last night's game [against Galatasaray] was such a great team performance.
When asked why he has been able to enjoy such a strong start to the 2020/21 campaign, he replied: “I would say it's the team and the management behind it. I'm playing with a great group of lads, not just the starting eleven but the whole squad.
“We've got a great depth of quality in the team and it's the game plan that the management team are putting in place which really helps me excel in terms of the way I can play for the team.
“So the whole combination of everything put together benefits my playing style."
Tavernier believes that after beating Galatasaray so impressively in the Europa League play-off round at Ibrox last night, Rangers will go into Sunday’s Premiership match against Ross County with confidence that three more valuable points can be secured.
He said: “I think we've shown great signs since the start of the season. We had a great pre-season and it has shown at the start of the season how strong we've been.
“We've added a great number of players into the squad and I think it's all mixing in really well. Everyone is gelling with each other and we're still improving. We know we can still get better and that's the task we have got as a team.
“We had a great performance last night and we have to take that into domestic football now. We've got Ross County at the weekend and we have to take that form from last night into that game on Sunday.”
Tavernier also gave his thoughts on this afternoon’s Europa League draw in Switzerland, with Rangers now looking forward to games against Benfica, Standard Liege and Lech Poznan in Group D.
"I'm excited,” he said with a beaming smile. “When you say Benfica, it’s a big name, and they have a great stadium.
“We are going to be put to the test again and I think all the boys are relishing it. I'm really excited for the group and I can’t wait for that to kick off again."
