It was a strong month for Malky Thomson’s side as they continued their unbeaten start to the league with 6-0 and 4-0 victories over Partick Thistle and Motherwell respectively.
Middag played a huge role in those games, as well as in UEFA Women’s Champions League football, as her experience and composure helped guide Gers to victories.
With injuries to defenders Hannah Davison and Kathryn Hill, the midfielder stepped in at centre-back partnering Lisa Martinez against Partick Thistle and Motherwell and helped to maintain the Light Blues’ record of no goals conceded so far this league campaign.
Middag was shortlisted for the award alongside Glasgow City’s Lauren Davidson, Celtic’s Jacynta and Alana Marshall of Spartans.
