On the morning of the Gers’ return to European action, fans will be able to reminisce on a famous European night at Ibrox as we claimed a 2-0 win over Werder Bremen.
The Gers put themselves in a commanding position before heading to Germany and going on a run to reach the final later in the campaign.
Opposition Focus – Fenerbahçe
Before Thursday’s European clash at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, fans can read all about our Turkish opponents with our opposition focus segment.
They currently occupy second place in their respective league where they sit four points off top spot, on the European front, they safely navigated a play-off tie against Belgian side Anderlecht to setup the last 16 clash and you can read all about their history, key players and more on our official website.
Fenerbahçe vs Rangers – UEFA Europa League Last 16 First Leg - Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium – Kick-off 5:45pm (UK)
Rangers will take on Jose Mourinho’s men away from home in their Europa League last 16 first leg tie on Thursday evening.
The Light Blues will look to take confidence from what has been an impressive European campaign to date, as they look to overcome their opponents over two matches to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

For the second time this week fans can look back on the European clashes over the years with our fixture against Spanish side Osasuna in March 2007.
A Brahim Hemdani late equaliser stopped the Light Blues falling to defeat in the last 16 UEFA cup first leg game at Ibrox as the game ended all square.
High Five – Rangers v Hamilton
Supporters can enjoy the latest edition of our high five series by looking back on our triumph over Hamilton in 2009.
Goals from Steven Whittaker, a Kyle Lafferty brace, an Aaron Niguez goal and Steven Davis strike saw the Gers beat the Accies 5-1 in front of the Ibrox faithful.
SUNDAY
Rangers v Spartans – Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish Cup Quarter-Final – Broadwood Stadium – Kick off 2pm
Rangers are back on the pitch this Sunday as they take on fellow SWPL side Spartans for a place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
Currently the holders of the trophy, the Gers will look to take a step closer to retaining it after winning it for the first time in their history last season.
