Far from their best, the Gers had it all to do in the second 45 minutes having been two behind at the break before the 17-year-old scored with her first touch and assisted Rio Hardy to head home the equaliser.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game, the head coach acknowledged her side weren’t at their best but highlighted the youngster’s display to help take something from the game, she said: “The girl is great, that is her energy and I knew exactly what we were lacking on the pitch.
“I knew exactly what she would bring when she came onto the pitch.
“No matter if her touch isn't right or her technique isn't quite there she is always going to give you the same and that is what we were lacking today.
“She came on and made such a great impact and you could see the lift she gave the team and that is what I want from every single player.
“Our youth are absolutely brilliant and we need to have a few more players a bit like Laura Berry today.
“My take on the game? It was very different at half time to the end of the game.
“Obviously the first half was not like us at all and I say not like us we have given a performance like that previously and it is just not something we accept, the players say that themselves.
“I said to them at half time we couldn't really change much tactically because individually the quality was off, decision-making was off, being able to accept pressure was off.
“I said to the players we can't get much worse, so we need to do the things that we do well and what helps us get the upper hand on opponents and to be fair to the players they turn it around in the second half and kind of feel a little bit disappointed that we maybe couldn't take all three points, but if you had asked me at half time I would have snapped your hand off for a point.
“Because we looked dead and buried at 45 minutes, we looked way off it and nowhere near getting in the game.
“We did really well to turn that around and try and push and change the outcome of the game, so I am hoping that point will be a big one come the end of the season.”
The former Lioness looked at the bigger picture as the league now heads into the split stage, saying teams will constantly take points of each other in the fixtures to come, with the Gers now switching their focus to a Scottish Cup quarter-final next weekend.
She added: “I think you have seen in previous years you maybe have a draw or slip up against teams it can be so deter-mental, but the top-six is so competitive this year that teams will be taking points off of everybody week in week out.
“It is ultra-competitive so if we can't win the game we don't want to lose the game and to go from 2-0 down we give ourselves a mountain to climb but the character that we have shown in the second half we have got to take some heart from that, because we could have crumbled completely and let the 90 minutes just pass us by, but we didn't.
“We had to stand up and we had to make sure that we tried to get something from that game and we have got to take a bit of that into the coming games now.
“Yes we do go into another cup run, which is super important for us.
“It is so good that we can be in these competitions to try get as far as possible and another game for us to try and put some of the things right that we have not done so good today.”
