It was a strong display from Gers at Broadwood as a double from Colette Cavanagh and goals from Kayla McCoy, Lisa Martinez and Rachel McLauchlan ensured another three points on the table.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, Thomson said: “I think we showed dominance from start to finish, we were really sure about our jobs. The preparation was great from all the backroom staff and the buy-in from the players is exceptional so we can't ask for any more.
“We came out of the traps with an intent, we spoke about it before the game about being quick and positive and I think that culminated in us scoring early doors and then again with that early goal we got that confidence and it just grows and grows.”
Thomson made five changes to his squad this afternoon, with both Jodi McLeary and Colette Cavanagh starting their first matches of the league season.
He was delighted with the impact of the squad in what he described as a ‘great team performance’.
“There are a number of players that are training at a high high level just now, none more so than Jodi McLeary,” Thomson continued. “She has been patient, she has worked so hard, she is an absolute true professional and she is one of those girls that listens and learns.
"What you saw and witnessed tonight was a lot of hard work and effort on her part. She played two positions and her energy levels were just through the roof.
“Cav has came in and she has scored two goals but I think the pleasing bit again was our key areas and our key positions.
“Our two centre-backs were solid, we made a couple of changes at full-back area as well and that didn't make any difference in the fact that we kept the same style and we kept the same patterns of play but overall it was a great team performance.”
