The Gers suffered their first defeat of the season last Sunday, but Thomson says the squad have been resilient in their approach to training this week.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the match, he said: “Obviously we had to pick the girls up from the defeat to Celtic at the weekend but they have come back in with a positive outlook on this week's preparation for the Forfar game.
“We are not going to get too high and we're not going to get too low.
“We know we have got a method of training we have put in place and we have a lot of people around about us that we can lean on for help should we need it so we are going in the right direction.”

Thomson says the squad have been working hard on the final third area, as they look to add more goals to their game.
He continued: “I think we will have a lot of the ball this weekend, just like the Celtic game but what is going to be vital is what we do in the final third of the pitch.
“How we access the final third, when we access it and ultimately putting the ball in the back of the net.
“The backroom staff are vital in the preparation for the games not just physically but mentally as well. It is about us as a group forming strong bonding relationships which will carry us through the season.”
With four games under their belt this season, the Gers boss praised the fitness levels of his squad but insists they are always looking for areas to improve.
He continued: “They are super fit, I think we were really up in our distances that we covered in the first-half last week and we noticed we were down in the second-half so there are areas we are drilling down.
“Everything culminates to getting that win at the end of the week. It is vital that preparation goes into it not just tactically and technically but everything else around it is really important.”
