The Light Blues dominated large spells of the match and created a number of chances but were unable to break the deadlock in front of a crowd of over 3200 supporters at Broadwood.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, the Gers boss said: “I think performance-wise, the attitude and the application the girls gave was 100 per cent.
“They were committed but we are disappointed in the scoreline to be honest. Right from the first-half and into the second-half we created numerous chances but did not manage to score.
“Credit has got to go to our back four too and Tess and Chelsea sitting in front of them to be solid and secure at the other end too. We will analyse the game, we will look at it for next week and we will try to improve on the small details of wider areas.
“I felt if we were a bit better in the wider areas and getting more bodies into the box then that is going to increase our chances to score.”
Thomson was delighted to see such a strong turnout at Broadwood and hopes they can continue to build support at their home stadium.
He continued: “Credit to all those who turned up, we are really appreciative of the volume of support we are getting. I think it was a great choice by the club to move our home venue to Broadwood here, the facilities are great, and credit to the ops team for putting it together.
“It was a good environment today and it was a decent enough product on the park. Like every Rangers fan, we want to go away with the three points so we'll endeavour to try and put that right.”
