From the side which won the Old Firm derby at Parkhead on Saturday, Nigerian international Leon Balogun comes in for Swedish international Fil Helander, Scotland international Ryan Jack replaces Northern Ireland’s Steven Davis while Romanian internationalist Ianis Hagi replaces Brandon Barker.
It highlights the strength-in-depth boss Gerrard has across his squad, with the quality in numbers also visible tonight among the 12 substitutes the manager is able to name.
So that means it’s a back five of Allan McGregor in goals with a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Balogun and Borna Barisic.
Jack is in midfield next to Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield, while up-front, Hagi and Ryan Kent will support Alfredo Morelos.
Helander, Barker, and Davis are all named among the pool of 12 on the bench, while there is also a welcome return there for Kemar Roofe from injury.
Completing the bench this evening are Jon McLaughlin, Calvin Bassey, Cedric Itten, Nathan Patterson, Joe Aribo, Greg Stewart, Jamie Barjonas and 16 year-old central defender Leon King.
