It was the ninth win in a row for the young Gers as an early strike from Ross McCausland and an Alex Lowry penalty saw them 2-0 ahead at the break.
Matt Yates added to the scoring early in the second-half before a double from McCausland and an Alex Lowry strike rounded off the scoring.
The visitors came close early on as Ewan Cameron found the run of Matthew Collins but his shot towards goal was turned over the bar by Jay Hogarth.
Rangers were ahead on the 7th minute with their first chance of the game as Matthew Henderson’s long ball forward was touched on by Matt Yates and fell for Ross McCausland, who slotted the ball into the back of the net.
Matt Yates came close to adding a second with 16 minutes played as Matthew Henderson picked out his run with the Rangers striker turning his defender before getting a shot away across goal but it was just wide of the post.
The Gers were awarded a penalty just two minutes later as James Lyon fouled Umaro Balde in the box. Alex Lowry stepped up to the spot and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way with his low right-footed penalty.
Thistle came close to getting a goal back just before the break as Cameron Crooks long-distance effort hit the post.
Rangers increased their lead just two minutes into the second-half with a well-worked goal. Adam Devine went on a run down the right-hand side before playing a one-two with Umaro Balde.
Devine then cut the ball back to Alex Lowry who found Matt Yates in space in the box with the number nine taking a touch before curling a right-footed shot into the back of the net.
McCausland almost had his second of the evening on the 71st minute as Alex Lowry played the ball out wide to find the winger in space. McCausland drove into the box and shot across goal but his effort was just wide of the target.
Just a minute later McCausland threatened again as Adam Devine cut the ball back but this time his shot bounced-off the post.
The goal did come for McCausland just a few minutes later as Ryan Muir’s cross across the face of goal was missed by the Partick Thistle keeper leaving McCausland to tap home his second of the game.
With 10 minutes remaining Ryan Muir found Dire Mebude in the box but his shot was saved blocked by the keeper.
A fifth Gers goal came on the 87th minute as Mebude played in Alex Lowry who took a touch to open up space before drilling a low effort into the back of the net.
McCausland had his hat-trick in the last minute of the game as Connor Allan went on a good run down the left before picking out McCausland in the box to divert the ball home.
