They were joined on the pitch at full-time by our league-winning Under-19s side, who dramatically secured their own league title earlier in the day with a 2-1 away win over St. Mirren.
It was the perfect conclusion to the campaign for both sides who were able to celebrate the moment in front of friends and family nestled inside the Main Stand.
Indeed, a host of players involved in the Under-19s squad made the quick trip down the road from St. Mirren’s training facility to start for the Under-17s, with Sam Reid, James Reid, Ben Hutton, Calum Young, Coben Fergusson and Ruaridh Hall all given the nod in the lineup.
Hall won the free-kick in which Zebedee Lawson curled home to secure the league championship, and the 15-year-old forward scored an audacious lob hours later to help the Under-17s on their way to a 3-0 victory over Hibernian.
Meanwhile, Conor Owen, Luca Rankin and Ashton Scally played the majority of the contest in Paisley for the Under-19s and featured off the bench for the Under-17s in the final day triumph.
Victory for the Under-19s in their respective division sealed UEFA Youth League qualification next season, while our Under-17s ended the campaign seven points clear of closest challengers St. Mirren.
