GIO van Bronckhorst has named his XI as Rangers play their first official pre-season friendly against Sunderland here in the Algarve tonight.
It’s set to be a warm and sultry evening at the Estadio Muicipal de Albufeira, and the Black Cats will provide a fine test for Gers at the end of what has been a week of hard training.
Starting the match for Gers will be Jon McLaughlin in goal with a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic and Borna Barisic in front of him.
Steven Davis, john Lundstram and Scott Arfield are in the middle of the park, while up front, we’ll get a first look at Antonio Colak with Scott Wright and Ryan Kent supporting him.
Available to van Bronckhorst from the bench this evening are Robby McCrorie, Kieran Wright, Calvin Bassey, Jack Simpson, Glen Kamara, Mateusz Zukowski, Stephen Kelly, Fashion Jr, Glenn Middleton, Charlie McCann, Leon King, Cole McKinnon, Adam Devine and Robbie Ure.
