The Gers boss is expecting Glasgow Girls to come to The Hummel Training Centre and give their all, and says his side need to be ready from the start.
He said: “It will be a big challenge, when you are playing a cup game it is an exciting time and I am looking forward to this game.
“I think a cup game is going to be different and we of course are at home so we have to show character and commitment and that is what we will ask of the girls to start right from the start with a high tempo because we have to show our character.”
Vignal is hoping the girls can go on a run in the cup this season.
He added: “It is really important when you are playing for the club because it is an exciting challenge so I think it is five games before the final so we will take it game by game but if we can do something special in the cup it will be really good for the squad.”
Sunday’s match will be the first hosted at The Hummel Training Centre, something Vignal says is exciting for the squad.
He said: “The girls are really excited and we are looking forward to it because the facilities are superb and will change everything regarding the new project.
“We are really happy and really proud to play here on Sunday.
“It is amazing for the programme and hopefully we will get Rangers fans along week in week out.”
