It was the third league win in a row for the Gers, but after being 2-0 up at half-time Motherwell got back into the game in the second-half, with Rangers’ Chantelle Brown being shown a red card.
Vignal said: “We won the game so that is a really good thing, after that I am not happy about the red card because how many times have I said to the girls the key when you play for the big clubs discipline is really important so I hope Chantelle will learn.
“We spoke about this in the dressing room and it will be the first and last time.
“I was really really happy with the first-half after it was difficult playing 10 against 11 but we conceded. I know playing young girls will cost me points but I don’t mind because they have to learn and that is part of the process.”
Vignal was pleased with the character shown by his side to hold out for the three points.
He added: “We showed great character, great courage and great desire to win this game. We scored really good goals in the second-half, but they will learn about the mistakes about the way we have to defend and body shape so that is part of the process.
“I said to the girls we have to win as many games as we can from now until the end of the season to show our character.
“We had a good game against City so I said I want a reaction and I think tonight we play really well now we need plenty of recovery because there is another game on Sunday against Hibs and it will be a tough game and I am looking forward to it.”
