Vote Now: EA Sports FC Goal Of The Month For January

RANGERS Men’s Goal of the Month nominees for January, presented by EA Sports FC, have been announced, and you can vote for your winner now!

The following goals are up for nomination:

Ianis Hagi v Celtic

Rangers began on the front foot in the Old Firm rout earlier this month and the tone was set through a sumptuous strike from Ianis Hagi.

After Nico Raskin helped steal possession in an advanced area, the Belgian laid the ball into the path of the Romanian midfielder whose left-footed strike from 25 yards out whistled into the bottom corner.

Cyriel Dessers v Manchester United

It was a goal fitting of a more deserving outcome for Rangers, but Dessers’ excellent take-and-finish at Old Trafford will be remembered for years to come.

There didn’t appear to be much danger from a United perspective when James Tavernier sent a hopeful long pass towards the Nigerian, yet the forward used his body intelligently to nudge defender Harry Maguire out of the flight of the ball and, after a sumptuous first-touch on his left-side, he swept the ball into the bottom corner.

Nico Raskin v Union Saint-Gilloise

Raskin headed home a crucial goal for Rangers in the final match of the month as Clement’s men progressed to the UEFA Europa League round of 16.

The midfielder opened the scoring at Ibrox as he popped up at the back post to guide James Tavernier’s cross into the back of the net.

Mohamed Diomande v Dundee United

The Ivorian hauled Rangers back on level terms at Tannadice with a terrific solo effort.

Collecting the ball 30 yards from the United goal, Diomande weaved his way through a pack of opposing midfielders before arrowing a thunderous strike into the far corner and out of the reach of the Dundee United goalkeeper.

Cyriel Dessers v Dundee United

The Light Blues sealed the points in Tayside when Dessers rifled home an emphatic finish with four minutes remaining.

It was a nice moment, too, for Zak Lovelace who provided the assist, knocking the ball into the path of the Nigerian who, from an acute angle, slammed the ball high into the far corner on his left side.
