The candidates for the voting for this month’s winner are as follows:
Kathy Hill
Kathy was a main feature in the back line for the Gers in September having featured in all six matches across three separate competitions.
She helped the side get off to the perfect start in the month with a convincing win over Dundee United, despite defeats in Champions League qualifying the Light Blues ended the month in style.
This included three domestic victories and booking their place in the Sky Sports Cup quarter-finals, with the defender helping the team to three clean sheets in total.
Katie Wilkinson
The summer signing began the second month of the campaign where she left off as she netted a hat-trick in the opening game in a commanding 10-0 win in league action.
A further two goals and an assist were to follow in the SWPL victory over Spartans before the former Saints striker made a fantastic impact in the final match of September.
Coming off the bench to create the opening goal before netting a fantastic free kick as Jo Potter’s side booked their place in the last eight of the cup.
Lizzie Arnot
Lizzie has begun the new campaign in fine early season form as the Light Blues have continued their 100% start to domestic proceedings in Scotland.
The winger was in the starting lineup in the first match of the month before featuring in both UWCL tests.
She registered her 10th assist of 2024/25 already in the win over Spartans as the Gers continued their flawless start to the league campaign.
Rio Hardy
Last season’s top goalscorer continued her fine start to the campaign with another three goals across the month.
Finding the back of the net in the opening league fixture she then made an impressive impact off the bench with a goal and two assists in the SWPL win over Spartans.
Her last outing of the month was in the Gers’ league test in the capital, with the English forward finding the crucial second goal with a well-taken finish as Rangers claimed a 2-0 win in Edinburgh.
Liv McLoughlin
Liv was again a consistent performer in the Light Blues midfield throughout the month of September as she racked up another five appearances in total.
Helping the Gers to victory over United on the first match of September she then gained valuable European experience for the first time in matches against both Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.
The youngster then rounded off the scoring in the team’s return to SWPL duties in the Spartans match in a game where she had the honour of leading the side out after being named captain for the match.
