The Gers grew into the game, but were already 3-0 down when Hay got on the scoresheet.
She said: “I think that in the first half we got off to a slow start, we made it hard for ourselves and caused a lot of running by playing a lot of long balls instead of keeping the ball on the ground and just playing but I think that is just a confidence thing.
“Our confidence started to grow once we got the goal and I think we know that we are capable of hurting them but I feel in the first half we let them have the ball too much and showed them too much respect when really we just need to get into the game a bit more.”
Hay is looking forward to the future under new boss Gregory Vignal, and feels the squad are growing every game.
She added: “There are big changes and I think it is changes for the best.
“He’s only been there four weeks and I feel that each game we are continuing to grow and he helps so much from the side and he makes sure you are in the right position and he does everything he can from off the pitch.”
