The Light Blues jetted into Portugal this afternoon for matchday three against a side which reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season.
In spite of their impressive pedigree, Jack believes Gers are capable of competing, and explained: “The Europa League games are always tough test and you are always coming up against top-quality players and top-quality opposition.
“I think on Thursday night, there is a chance for us to do well, put that right and show that night was just an off-night and we can compete at this level.
“I am sure if we play the way we can and what we have been for the majority of the season, we will be fine.
“I think for the club, this is the sort of level they have been used to and belong to, these Champions League or Europa League nights playing against top-quality opposition.
“We have been away before and been underdogs and got results. I don’t see why we can’t do that again.”
Jack also believes he has learned so much playing in Europe for Rangers, adding: “I think on these games, a lot of it comes down to the way the coaching staff go about it and the way they set us up and the way they make sure we are ready for the games tactically.
“For me it has been excellent and for me it has been excellent. Hopefully we can go and carry it out and get a good result on Thursday night.”
