Despite a difficult first-half for Gers, a dominant second-half display saw them comfortably to three points at Broadwood. Danielsson was key in the forward areas for the Light Blues with two goals and two assists and hopes the squad can now build from the result.
Speaking to RangersTV at full time, she said: “I think the first-half was hard, it was hard to get momentum in the game because there were two big injuries and then the ball was out quite a bit.
“We were struggling a little bit in the last third not getting crosses in and not creating too many goal scoring chances either. It was good that Emma [Watson] scored early in the game but the second-half was a lot better. We started to move the ball quicker and were able to open more spaces and get more goals.
“It is always nice to help the team, especially after the last game. I felt a little bit down myself too, so I feel like this win is going to give confidence for all of us. I hope the team can lift the mood up a little bit.”
Danielsson felt patience was important as they broke down a well-organised Partick Thistle side. She continued: “I think it was very important, the opponent tonight could've been very frustrating for us, they were very tight and defended hard and worked hard so it was good that we kept the patience.
“All the goals that we scored today I think it is good for us and it gives us more confidence and it was good to also rotate some players and get playing minutes.”
Danielsson hopes the squad can continue to improve moving forward, she added: “It is crucial, we need to win every game and starting off with a 5-0 win is a good start but we can still do better.
"There are still things we need to get better at before the tough games start so it is a good start, but we still need to keep learning.”
