The summer recruit played an instrumental role as the young Gers netted a stoppage-time winner in a 3-2 victory over their rivals.
Speaking to RangersTV, Lawson reflected on the triumph: "My emotions were high, and the whole team were buzzing. It was a great way to win it.
"It was a very happy changing room and a very happy coach. We're all buzzing now to go into training.
"It's important that we take this confidence into the games coming up, use that momentum, and continue to win."
Rangers showed their prowess in both penalty boxes as Rydnn McGuire produced an impressive performance between the posts alongside goals for Cameron Fernie and Chris Condy at the other end.
Lawson believes the result was testament to the resilience within the Under-19s dressing room.
He added: "It shows that we've got the character to bounce back when we go down and continue to win as we've done.
"Was our intensity the key to the result? It helped towards the result in terms of us matching their intensity and being even better than them, so we won in that department."
