RANGERS Under-19s are in UEFA Youth League domestic champions path first-leg action tomorrow afternoon away to Dynamo Kyiv in Poland.

The side will be keen to produce a positive result to take back to Forthbank Stadium for the return leg next midweek.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match:

FIXTURE DETAILS

  • UEFA Youth League Domestic Champions Path Second Round First Leg
  • Dynamo Kyiv Under-19s v Rangers Under-19s
  • Stal Stalowa Wola Stadium, Poland
  • Kick-off 1pm local (12 noon GMT)

HOW IT WORKS

The young Gers secured qualification to this year’s edition through their CAS Elite League title success last season.

As such, they entered the domestic champions path where they have been paired against the Ukrainian outfit.

Should Rangers navigate their way past Dynamo Kyiv, they will square off against the winners of AZ Alkmaar of the Netherlands or Göztepe of Türkiye for a place in the knockout phase.

OUR FORM

Rangers make the trip to Poland off the back of a penalty shootout triumph over Dundee United in the Scottish Youth Cup on Friday evening.

Ashton Patton and Ben Hutton were on the scoresheet as the Gers scored their full complement of spot-kicks to seal their place in the next round.

On league duty, meanwhile, the Under-19s remain unbeaten this campaign after wins over Dundee United, Hibernian and Kilmarnock.

OUR OPPONENTS

Dynamo Kyiv entered the domestic champions path by virtue of Shakhtar Donetsk, last season’s Under-19 Ukrainian Premier League winners, qualifying for the league phase through the club’s first-team.

The side finished as runners-up last season, although they ended the campaign just three points off the top.

In last season’s UEFA Youth League, the side navigated both qualifying rounds of the domestic champions path – which included a two-legged victory over Hibernian – before falling to defeat to Atletico Madrid.
