LAST TIME OUT

It was an action-packed opening stanza in Poland last week as a stoppage time strike from Coben Fergusson left the tie firmly in the balance.

Indeed, the young Gers found themselves two goals down at the interval - the second goal arriving on the cusp of half-time - but suddenly hauled themselves back into the contest when Kyle Glasgow reduced the arrears with just under a quarter of an hour to play.

The Ukrainian side restored their two-goal cushion immediately from kick-off, but with just minutes remaining in the contest, Fergusson reacted first when the goalkeeper palmed Cameron Fernie’s strike into a dangerous area.

HOW IT WORKS

The young Gers secured qualification to this year’s edition through their CAS Elite League title success last season.

As such, they entered the domestic champions path where they have been paired against the Ukrainian outfit.

Should Rangers navigate their way past Dynamo Kyiv, they will square off against AZ Alkmaar for a place in the knockout phase.
