CLINTON Nsiala was delighted to mark his Ibrox bow with a victory over St Johnstone.
The French defender made his second consecutive start for Philippe Clement’s side in the 3-1 win over the Saints.
The former AC Milan starlet has played in the B team as he settles into life in Scotland, but the 20-year-old is relishing the chance to feature in the first-team starting line-up.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “It was a great feeling to play at Ibrox and start to the game.
“We won well and that is always an amazing feeling, especially when you win.
“I think we put in a good performance, we scored early in the game and that helped us to have more confidence and then to create more chances.
“Then we got the second and then the third goal which was good. We built on it and it is always good to score first - it makes you more free to play your own game.
“They have told me to keep it simple and do what I have been doing in training. That is why I am here.
“Playing in the B team helped me. It is always good to keep your tempo high.
“I played with the B team and I was training with the first-team as well, which was good as it kept me in contact with the group.”
Hamza Igamane opened the scoring against the Perth outfit with his sixth goal in his last five outings.
Vaclav Cerny doubled the lead, before Mohamed Diomande headed home the third to seal the victory - despite Jack Sanders netting a consolation goal for the visitors.
Aberdeen are next up at Ibrox on Wednesday night and Nsiala says the squad are determined to pick up another victory.
He added: “We want to keep up the momentum now against Aberdeen on Wednesday night.
“The confidence will be in the dressing room after winning this game. It is important now for us to keep winning games.
“We have that desire to do the best we can in every game we play.”
