The Light Blues sealed a victory at Ainslie Park today to earn their place in the final of the tournament next month at Tynecastle where they will face Hibernian. Speaking exclusively to RangersTV following the squad’s convincing win away from home, she said: “I think that the team felt confident before the game, we had a good atmosphere in the warm up and it felt that we were controlling the game the whole 90 minutes, it was a good game.
“We all knew from the previous games that they were going to be a tough opponent, but we just had to keep the ball moving and work together, I felt that the patience paid off eventually and the goals started to come.”
The Ger recognised the challenges presented by the Edinburgh side in their last meeting just a few weeks ago and insisted that the squad wanted to utilise that fixture to gain a better performance on the pitch this afternoon.
She continued: “It comes from the previous games because last time that we played them it wasn’t the best performance and we wanted to prove ourselves, we just had to do what we had been doing all week on the training pitch.”
Danielsson expressed her delight to make the scoresheet in this afternoon’s 4-0 victory away from home and says the squad are excited to take the pitch at Tynecastle against Hibernian in the final next month.
She continued: “I think that it gives me a little bit of extra confidence, I had been away for a little while through injury, but it feels good and Brogan [Hay] couldn’t have made it easier for me to score.
“We’re very excited! There are some important games coming up, so it’s important that we take one game at a time but when the final gets played, we’ll go all in.”
