Gio: "Kemar is Available"

GIOVANNI van Bronckhorst tonight revealed a major injury boost for Rangers ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Europa League final with the news Kemar Roofe is fit and available to play.

Roofe, who hasn’t featured since last month’s Old Firm Scottish Cup semi-final, is with the traveling party that will take to the field against Sevilla here in the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium tomorrow night.

"Kemar is available,” revealed van Bronckhorst at this evening’s press conference. “He trained for the first time with us yesterday and he had some individual training before that and he trained also tonight.

"So he will be in the squad tomorrow and if I want to use him, he is ready. Of course, it is a boost for us. He got injured a couple of weeks ago when he was in a good spell and he was very important for the team.

"I am happy he is back as he was working hard to be ready for the Leipzig game - he didn't make it so we have extended it for him to be ready for the final and he is there and he is also ready, of course, to play a part in tomorrow's game."

The manager was also asked what his final words would be to his players before they take to the field tomorrow night, and while he will say something to them, he doesn’t believe they need any more motivation than they already have.

He added: "I always have some final words, and sometimes it comes in the moment. I am a coach who always trusts his feelings and his gut, and that can change maybe in meetings or on the pitch or just before a game.

"But the players will know how important this game is, but it is always good to prepare them for anything that comes and maybe gives them that extra per-cent of motivation.

"But really, I don't think this team needs any more motivation than we are feeling now."
