JAMES Tavernier hopes Rangers can make everyone proud in tomorrow's historic UEFA Europa League Final in Sevilla.
The captain insists the squad will give their all against Eintracht Frankfurt as they look to write their name in the history books by bringing the trophy back to Glasgow.
It has been an incredible journey for the Light Blues in the competition so far and Tavernier knows they now have the chance to make it even more special.
Speaking to the media ahead of the match, he said: "It means the world to me, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the great team behind me and the boss directing me.
"We are obviously one step away and we all want to make history and bring that cup back home. All the boys will give 110 per cent tomorrow and we will leave everything on the pitch - hopefully we can make everyone proud.
"I have just got to make sure I am the best version of myself tomorrow night and try and lead by example on the pitch. Hopefully we can make this incredible journey even more special." Tavernier praised the character of the squad and says it is a delight to captain and work with them every day.
He continued: "It is the best changing room that I have been in, we have got a mixture of youth and experience and we are all really close in the changing room.
"Come matchday we know one another, and we will go to the death for one another so in any situation I know the boys will prevail and the mental character of every single one of them will shine through so it is a delight to be captaining these boys."
