Kemar Roofe: There's Still More To Come

KEMAR ROOFE moved onto six Rangers goals in this afternoon’s 4-0 defeat of Aberdeen – and he reckons there’s still more to come from him.

Roofe nabbed the second in another excellent win and performance from Gers, and after enduring a bit of an interrupted start to his Ibrox career through injury, he feels he’s now getting up to full speed.

Speaking to RangersTV, he smiled: "We are proud. They are tough opposition but we got the three points, four goals and a clean sheet.

"We knew it was going to be tough coming into it, but we have come up with a good result.

"I think every week, I am getting stronger. I think I have still got more to come, and with myself, I want to keep improving, so I can never stand still."

Gers’ movement and play throughout the game was a joy to watch, and Roofe continued: "It's enjoyable as we have a lot of possession and it is an attacking formation and we are pushed to attack and told to attack.

"Knowing you have got the support from the coaching staff and the players on the pitch - the defence is so strong it gives us more confidence to keep going, keep attacking and keeping on trying things and not always playing the safe pass."

Indeed, his goal this afternoon was set up by an outstanding pass out of defence from Connor Goldson, with Roofe explaining: "These are the things we work on in training - we watch video clips daily to try and improve this kind of link-up and it worked today."

It’s onto the Europa League now for Gers on Thursday with Benfica the visitors to Ibrox.

Roofe added: "We are looking forward to every game, and every game, we want to win. We see ourselves being able to win if we put everything into it, and that is what we aim to do in every game."
