The 16-year-old was introduced as a second half substitute as the Gers rounded off their warm weather training camp in Spain with an impressive triumph at Pinatar Arena.
Speaking to RangersTV after the win, Berry said: “It’s a really happy moment, especially considering I had one chopped offside [in the Scottish Cup final].
“The manager just said to me to enjoy the moment and work hard, make runs in-behind, and try to get on the scoresheet.
“Jodi [McLeary] turned her marker quickly and played Rio [Hardy] through, she cut it across and fortunately I tapped it home.
“I’m really happy to score because you always want to be scoring as a striker. It’s a great feeling to get the winning goal.”
The victory tees Rangers up nicely for next weekend’s SWPL opener away to Spartans, and Berry believes that the training camp in Spain this week has been hugely helpful in preparing the side for the start of the competitive campaign.
She added: “It’s been really beneficial for the whole team because there’s a lot of new players. Getting to know everyone in a different environment has been really good on and off the pitch.
“We’re really excited [to start the league season]. We need to start off strong and get the win over Spartans.”
