Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, Thomson said: “I think we were absolutely relentless right from the word go. There was a real intent in the squad and I think they have enjoyed playing the number of games that they have played. It has given us a focus and we have just got to continue doing it.
“I think later in the game you could see that Aberdeen got right behind the ball and it was really important we got our full-backs high and wide to play around them.
“It was good that the girls recognised that themselves and you could see Rachel McLauchlan and Nicola Docherty getting higher and wider. Our relentless endeavour to be professional in every department came through and I think it was visible out there today.
This afternoon’s match was the Light Blues’ fifth league match in 14 days and Thomson praised the backroom team for the way the squad has been managed over the busy period.
He continued: “Our preparation is 100 percent commitment and we have some real good individuals thinking out of the box and just bringing an energy to everything we do. I think we had a great week and it just culminated in what you saw on the park today.
“It has been pleasing for me and the staff that we have managed the group really well and I think we have been bang on with the minutes they have played given the contributions and some of the performances they have been putting in.”
