Rangers travel to Tynecastle tomorrow for their Scottish Premiership clash with the league leaders.
Derek McInnes’ side handed the Gers their only league defeat of this season so far, but under new Head Coach Danny Röhl, the Light Blues have taken 20 points from a possible 24.
Diomande believes confidence in the squad is high, and they can maintain their momentum in the capital.
Speaking to the media, he said: “We’ve had a good run, and we’ve put ourselves in this situation, and it’s important for our confidence, but we know it’s not going to be an easy game. We will go and do whatever we can to get three points.
“There’s still a lot of games to go, what is important for us now is to go on Sunday and try and get a result. We know obviously, we have a tight schedule of tough teams after this game.
“I’m not going to say like what is going to happen or anything, but I’m focused now to go and get three points on Sunday.
“We as a team have always had a good mood in the dressing room, and we’ve got top characters in there. Obviously, we didn’t start as we wanted, but it didn’t change anything really in the dressing room, people always stick together.”
When asked about the league position, he added: “I definitely think we are there to go and take the three points.
“Like I said, we focus on the game that is close. I don’t think about the table too much, but we are going to try and do everything to win games, and that is the attitude of the club.
“I think there is more to come (from this team) because we work every day and do analysis to improve. We are going to do it as a team, and we are going to help each other to get the best out of each other.”
Diomande was disappointed to not be called up to represent Ivory Coast for the African Cup of Nations, but insists he’s now solely focused on Rangers.
He said: “When I joined Rangers, that’s when I made a step to be an international player, so obviously it’s a big disappointment.
“But I’m at one of the biggest clubs, and I just focus on myself, and I’m going to support my national team. I’m happy that I can improve myself here; hopefully, maybe something can happen in the future.
“What I’ll do is focus on the things I can do to improve, and maybe it’s going to change what they think of me.
“Maybe they’ll see some difference in me to make it to the squad in the World Cup, but obviously I’m going to focus on Rangers and hopefully win something, so I’m going to work hard every day.”
