The Wales international’s first half double was the difference as the Gers marked their return to league duties with a hard fought 2-1 win over Aberdeen.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game the midfielder was happy with the result in tough weather conditions at the Balmoral Stadium.
She said: “It is hard to put into words, it was a difficult game, difficult conditions. It was challenging; the wind played a massive part in the game for both sides. I thought we were quite dominant considering that, but the scoreline doesn't justify how well we played in spells I think again. Happy to get the result I think with a difficult second half when they were pushing to equalise.
“I think myself I could have probably got a couple of more goals and we should have scored a few more all over the park. We didn't but we held off and showed good character to win the game in the end.”
The 31-year-old was happy to be the match winner on the day and says the team knew what to expect prior to kick off with the result the most important thing for the side.
She continued: “I think you can be self-critical and say I should definitely have scored more goals, but I am happy we got the result in the end. I thought the girls played superb and all of the subs who came on made a difference as well.
“I think we knew when we came out to warm-up that it was going to be a bit rough today. The weather played a massive part in it but we said at the start to the game it is never going to an excuse for us. Weather conditions, officials, some things are just out of your hands and you have to control the controllables.”
The Light Blues now turn their attentions back to Scottish Cup action as they take on Dundee United in a week’s time and midfielder says they are looking forward to the tie after already booking their place in the first final of the season in the Sky Sports Cup.
She added: “I am really looking forward to it. Obviously we are in the final of the other cup so we want to continue on and power through next week so that is what our aim is now.”
