Rangers International Soccer Academy Announce Partnership with Georgia Impact Soccer Club

RANGERS International Soccer Academy can today announce a new, three-year partnership with Georgia Impact Soccer Club in the United States.

The programme will see coaches from the Light Blues travel to the States to deliver sessions to the Georgia Impact players, while players from Georgia Impact will visit Glasgow and Scotland to experience football and culture here.

It’s the latest in a long series of partnerships created by the club as they look use their superb Soccer Academy reputation to expand in new markets around the globe.

Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations, Gary Gibson, commented: “Georgia Impact Soccer Club had a girls’ team across at the club on tour from the states in April 2019 which was a huge success. We have continued to have positive discussions with Shane Moore, Executive Director and Robert Roddie, Director of Coaching, about creating a longer-term agreement with the club that would benefit their players and coaches.

“I am thrilled that the club are now in a position to progress with a three-year agreement, which will now see Rangers coaches head across to the states to deliver camp events, while Georgia Impact will send teams across on tour and their staff will utilise the Rangers Online Academy from a coach education and player development perspective.

Robert Roddie, Director of Coaching at Georgia Impact Soccer Club, added: “Everyone at Georgia Impact is incredibly excited to announce a partnership with Rangers FC. The opportunity to have our staff work with and learn from Rangers FC academy staff is invaluable and something we believe will be a huge benefit in our coaches’ education.

“The partnership also allows us to have Georgia Impact players showcase their talents to Rangers staff, whether that is in Atlanta, GA or when we take our teams to play and train in Scotland. Georgia Impact has been growing and becoming more competitive year after year and we believe that partnering with the most successful team in the world will only help grow the club in the coming years.”
