The partnership will see Rangers coaches support the players and staff at Clackamas United by travelling to the USA to deliver sessions, while the community-based soccer club will also benefit from the superb Rangers Online Academy to help develop their coaching staff and players.
Teams from Clackamas United will also have the opportunity to travel to Scotland on tours as part of the partnership. The agreement is the latest to be added to the growing portfolio of partnerships with international clubs and will also have commercial benefits for Rangers Football Club.
Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations at Rangers, commented: “The agreement with Clackamas United is another positive step forward as we continue to drive the club’s international strategy.
“We will work closely with Director of Coaching, John Wylie to assist with player development and coach education through Rangers Online Academy which will provide access to cutting-edge footage of our coaching staff and Academy players.
“As international travel re-opens, we will send Rangers Soccer Academy coaches across to the USA to deliver camp events while welcoming teams to Glasgow each year as part of the agreement which will be a mixture of football, education and leisure activities.”
