The Young Ger said the full squad were ‘absolutely buzzing’ after their win in Edinburgh as they now look to the final at Hampden.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV after their exciting win, he said: “It’s hard to some up just now, but I thought all the boys were brilliant and superb. We all dug deep right to the end and we’re all buzzing to go to Hampden and hopefully win it. Everyone is absolutely buzzing; the atmosphere is superb.
“We’re all looking forward to it [Hampden], this is what we’ve been aiming to do all season. We’ve done it now and I think that will take care of itself now.”
Strachan reflected on the Light Blues’ positive mentality to come back from behind and double their lead in the latter stage of the match.
He added: “It was just to keep playing the way that we play because we knew eventually that we would break them down if we were patient, and I think that we did that in the second half.
“We knew that we just had to be patient even though we were 4-2 up, we had to keep the ball and have good game management. Robbie [Ure] coming in with two goals tonight was superb.”
