Rangers will play in front of a sold-out Ibrox on Sunday for the first Old Firm of the season. The Gers assistant coach outlined the collective unity that will be required as they prepare to face Celtic at home.
He said: “I see Sunday as a coming together for everyone at the club after a tough 3 or 4 days. “For the fans, staff, players and board - everyone coming together and looking for a positive result.” The Light Blues assistant coach followed up by emphasising the need for focus and concentration.
He continued: “We are always fully concerned about what we do and how we perform. We are aware of their strengths, but our preparation will be the same. “We want to be on the front foot at home and to all come together on Sunday. No matter who is available on Sunday we will come together, and they will be fully committed. “You must remain fully concentrated and focused on these matches.” McAllister reflected on the squad’s qualification to the group stages of the Europa League for the fourth consecutive season after knocking out Alashkert on Thursday night. He continued: “We are delighted to be in the draw. “It's great for Scottish football to see the coefficient spike over the years. We are now experienced in this competition, and we are now in pot two; we have improved, and we now want to go a step further.”
