This Week's Gers Guide!

IN this week’s Gers Guide, it’s a pause in the campaign for the men’s first team as the final international break of 2024 kicks in, it’s a huge seven days for the women’s side as they prepare for the second Old Firm derby of the season, whilst the Under-18s are also in action.

Here’s a look at what’s to come this week:

MONDAY

Inside Ibrox – Hearts

Rangers signed off for the international break by claiming a 1-0 victory over Hearts at Ibrox last night.

Cyriel Dessers early goal was the difference for Philippe Clement’s men and you can view all the behind the scenes footage of the action later this evening.

Ibrox Stadium – 125 Years

Rangers will build up to the special 125th anniversary of Ibrox by reminiscing of the special iconic moments in the stadium across the years.

RWFC Highlights

Check out all the best bits as Rangers booked their place in the Sky Sports Cup semi-finals with an 8-1 away win over Motherwell on Saturday evening.

A Katie Wilkinson hat-trick, as well as goals from Leah Eddie, Charlie Devlin, Rio Hardy, Liv McLoughlin and Kirsty Howat saw the Gers take a step closer to retaining the trophy they have won the last two seasons.

TUESDAY

Sky Sports Cup Semi-Final Draw

The draw for the women’s Sky Sports Cup semi-finals will take place tomorrow afternoon.

Jo Potter’s side booked their place in the last four with a convincing 8-1 win over Motherwell at the weekend and you can find out who they’ll face as they look to take a step closer to retaining the trophy.

Rangers Under-18s v Greenock Morton Under-18s – Rangers Training Centre – Kick off 7.45pm

Rangers Under-18s side are in action tomorrow evening as they host Greenock Morton Under-18s at the Training Centre.

WEDNESDAY

International Preview

Rangers will have a number of players away representing their national teams across the men’s and academy sides over the next week or so.

Jodi McLeary and Kirsty Maclean – Our Journey Part One

Women’s duo Jodi McLeary and Kirsty Maclean will sit down with RangersTV to reflect back on their time coming through the Gers academy through to first team level.

The pair will reminisce over the good times they’ve had together over the years having played at both club and country level and you can tune in to our channels on Wednesday to view the first part of their journey.

THURSDAY

Big Interview – Dave Smith

On his birthday, RangersTV will air a previous sit down interview with former player Dave Smith.

The midfielder spent eight years in Glasgow from 1966 as he will reflect on his time as a Ger and career overall.

FRIDAY

Jo Potter – Old Firm Press Conference

Jo Potter will speak to the media ahead of this weekend’s second Old Firm clash of the season.

Jimmy Millar & Ralph Brand Feature

RangersTV will air a special documentary on the strike partnership of Jimmy Millar and Ralph Brand.

Names such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Archie MacPherson, John Greig, Willie Henderson and more will talk of the duo and the success they had a pair during the 1950’s and 60’s for the Light Blues, tune into our channels on Friday for the feature.

Hamilton Under-18s v Rangers Under-18s – CAS Elite Under-18 League – Kick-off 2pm

Steven Smith’s Under-18s side will continue their league exploits with a short trip to take on Hamilton on Friday afternoon.

SATURDAY

Rio Hardy – Old Firm Preview

Rio Hardy will speak to RangersTV to preview the second Old Firm clash of the season.

The striker has found the back of the net in the fixture on several occasions as she will look ahead to the derby, with the Gers hopefully of coming out on top after a 2-2 draw in the previous meeting.

There will also be a written preview on our website.

SUNDAY

Celtic v Rangers – ScottishPower Women’s Premier League – New Douglas Park – Kick off 12 noon

Rangers will make the short trip to take on their rivals in the second Old Firm showdown of the season.

It promises to be an intriguing contest at the home of Hamilton, with the pair facing off for the first time in the stadium having played out a 2-2 draw earlier in the campaign.

Tickets for the match are available to purchase here, as Jo Potter’s side look to claim the city bragging rights by coming out on top in the derby.
