Gentles was a standout infront of goal in the competition for the Light Blues as he netted five goals in six games.
Played at the lively Glaspalast indoor arena, there was certainly a healthy turn-out from the locals as the fast-paced format meant little time for turnaround between matches.

Bayern Munich were next up to conclude Group B action and the German side flexed their muscles in a convincing victory.

All that was left for the Light Blues was to rally themselves for the sixth-versus-fifth play-off and they produced an outstanding performance to down a Servette side who defeated Bayern Munich earlier in the competition.
